What does the scan actually check?

We run axe-core, the industry-standard open-source accessibility engine, against your page. It checks dozens of WCAG 2.1 AA rules including missing language attributes, images without alt text, empty links, unlabeled form inputs, color contrast, ARIA misuse, heading structure, keyboard traps, and more. These are among the most commonly cited issues in ADA lawsuits.

WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.2 is the international standard for web accessibility. The ADA doesn't name a specific standard, but courts routinely reference WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA as the benchmark for compliance. Failing it creates legal exposure.

Will fixing these issues protect me from lawsuits?

No tool eliminates legal risk entirely. What it does: runs an automated WCAG scan, identifies the violations plaintiffs’ attorneys commonly cite, and gives your developer a concrete fix list. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee compliance or any legal outcome. Ask an attorney how a scan record may matter to your situation.

Is my website data safe?

We scan your public URL the same way any browser would. We don't store your page content, logins, or any private data. The scan result is stored temporarily (linked by a unique ID) so you can view it. We don't sell or share scan data.
